When you get off the ferry in Portoferraio, follow the directions for Procchio. From Procchio, take the main road which follows along the coastline through oak woods and lentisk shrubs. After only 8 kilometres just as you round the last bend, you suddenly come upon the beautiful panorama of the bay and the village below and the Mount Capanne range above.
